[Pittsburgh, PA – October 5, 2022]: fivestar*, a 25-year-old custom software solutions company, today announced its acquisition by the Revision Collective, a Cincinnati, OH-based privately-held, employee-owned parent company. Revision exists to bring like-minded businesses together and grow their collective impact while caring for each company’s unique stakeholders: employees, client partners, and communities. The acquisition allows fivestar* to continue to provide the same high level of service that clients have come to expect, with increased capabilities and operational efficiency. The company will continue to be led by CEO/Cofounder, Lou Camerlengo and fivestar*’s professionals with a commitment to operate the business for the good of all stakeholders. Chairman/Cofounder, Dave Colaizzi will act in an advisory role during the transition.
“When Dave Colaizzi and I founded fivestar* 25 years ago, our vision was simple: Bring together talented people to solve client challenges in an environment that supports long-term client relationships, work life balance and community service,” fivestar* CEO, Lou Camerlengo commented. “Being part of the Revision Collective who shares our values and culture enables that vision to continue well into the future.”
“fivestar* will retain its team and commitment to delivering value. There will be no interruptions in the services provided,” added Lou Camerlengo. “Our team is now part of a 100% Employee-Owned company, joining a collective group of businesses focused on a triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit. We could not be more excited for everyone at fivestar* and the positive impact this transition will have on our client partners.”
Five Star Development, Inc. (fivestar*) will become Fivestar* Inc., an Ohio corporation and will continue to operate from their Pittsburgh North Shore offices.

“When we started our first company Ingage Partners, Michael Kroeger, co-CEO and I were building a small company of a few employees. It didn’t take us long to realize that by bringing together a committed, talented, and passionate group of like-minded people our opportunity for growth and impact would be unlimited. By adding fivestar* to our portfolio of companies under the Revision Collective, we are recommitting to our vision of using business as a force for good. We couldn’t be more excited about the future for all of our stakeholders.” said Kelly Dolan, Revision Co-CEO.
About The Revision Collective: Revision Founders Michael Kroeger and Kelly Dolan took a leap of faith to start Ingage Partners, a Revision Collective portfolio company. Fueled by the desire to succeed in business while giving back to the community, they discovered Certified B Corps. B Corps measure company performance across a triple-bottom-line of people, planet and profit. Ingage Partners became a Certified B Corp and has continued to grow year over year both in impact and profit. It is from this framework that they decided to go a step further to build a holding company of like minded businesses. The idea is that by forming a collective of businesses for good, we can expand our impact, accelerate our growth and secure our future as an employee-owned collective. https://www.revisioncollective.com/
