We’re excited to welcome a new CRM Director Damian Bolton to the fivestar* team!
Curiosity is an important part of solving complex technology challenges. Understanding how an organization works, how its people use information, and where processes could work better creates opportunities to make technology more valuable.
Our newest team member brings that curiosity to fivestar*, along with a passion for helping organizations see what their CRM can do beyond managing sales activity.
Meet Our New CRM Director
For our new Damian, getting to know a business is one of the most interesting parts of the work. He enjoys meeting new people, asking questions, and understanding the processes behind how an organization operates.
“I’m very curious by nature. I love learning how things work, I love meeting new people, and I love learning how their businesses function.”
That curiosity shapes how he approaches CRM. While CRM platforms are often viewed primarily as tools for tracking sales activity, he sees much greater potential in the information and processes they bring together.
“What excites me is helping people see that it can be so much more than that.”
A well-designed CRM can give organizations a clearer understanding of their customers, reveal seasonal purchasing trends, help identify shifts in the market, and connect information across different areas of the business. Finding those opportunities requires understanding both the technology and the people who rely on it.
“I really enjoy learning how an organization works, finding the places where technology can make a meaningful difference, and then seeing those improvements actually make people’s jobs easier. And who doesn’t want a little less stress?”
That same curiosity carries into life outside of work. He enjoys diving deeply into new hobbies, learning how things work, and seeing what he can create along the way.
Last year, that meant taking apart an old upright piano and rebuilding it as a table for his foyer. More recently, he made homemade wine that is currently aging, started experimenting with hydroponically grown oregano and peppers, and continues to make time for fishing whenever he can.
He also plays guitar, and, by his own assessment, banjo a little less successfully, and makes sourdough bread. His appetite for adventure has taken him well beyond his latest hobbies, too. In his twenties, he spent three years in the Sierra Nevada mountains working as a licensed backcountry guide.
At fivestar*, curiosity helps us ask better questions about the technology organizations already rely on and where it can create greater value. We’re excited to have that perspective joining our CRM team and helping our clients build stronger connections between their people, customer information, and everyday processes.
